Hello!
I am one of the administrators here. Maybe any of you has noticed that Mario Builder forums lose the number of registered members. This is because there were a lot of users who just spammed the space just by registering and not visiting the forums after that even for years now if at all. There were also a lot of not yet accepted members so as an administrator I felt too undisciplined …

Platform Builder forums

Dear members! I am not active with Mario Builder nor it's forums anymore although I still view some activity here sometimes. This is because of the need to choose some activities from all ones in ridiculously limited time. Good things are that I spend more time on something that has been created by the same creator as for Mario Builder. This is Platform Builder and it's own forum.

Mario Builder V11 is OUT!

Mario Builder V11 -
-Many kinds of enemies can be placed ontop of a pipe opening. This will cause them to continually spawn from that pipe.
-Added an invisible text block
-Added the pink piranha plant by Alju5 through the engine challenge
-Added the ice bro by lukasmah through the engine challenge
-Added Ice bro to the overworld
-Boom Boom and Koopalings must take multiple shots …

yeah remember when I said World 2 wouldn't take as long as World 1 did? I lied. This is also a post saying that I'm not dead and I've been very "busy" over the past few months.

I've been very busy and I couldn't find any time to work on the game atm. I will finish it someday, it'll be out when Half Life 3 comes out :^)

I would like to say for most of the published projects where those authors use a custom backgrounds in linked levels. Even if those are the best in the world... I haven't used a Mario Builder long time already but... Being judge I would count down some points from every project that have those backgrounds in because if not in every computer then at least in most of computers it makes just an unbeatiful glitch. Because Mario Builder have much features that works nicely and properly it does not have to be that important to use also custom backgrounds if those actually makes the whole game ugly... Or if to use I suggest to use those so that those exist only on title, in un-linked levels or in first course of the whole level so those will not make your game just ugly. And at least once play the whole game by the creator before uploading would be another suggestion.

I get what you mean, it seems like there's a limit to what I can do on mario builder but honestly I haven't touched it in a while as well.

Mario Builder have just it's cons and pros as actually even SMBX have it's own cons and pros. And Ting_Thing however, considered with a feature of using custom backgrounds for Mario Builder but it's just bugged. Mario Builder however, I think we must admit that have no other huge problems in next to what all can be done with it. Mario Builder is of course not that advanced in making custom behaviour unlike SMBX but overall Mario Builder is also not light at all and I still would prefer it already only because of it's feature to publish stand alone games that look much more businesslike. SMBX huge advantage for me was a feature to work with events but when I discovered that there are limit of how many of them to use per the course then I soon felt I have nothing to do in SMBX with my special ideas that I also cannot make in Mario Builder. So... Thinking more the levels doesn't look too much uglier without some custom backgrounds actually because with custom tiles there are enough basic backgrounds inside the Mario Builder. My opinion.
But to be honest, next to a time limits in life the reason why I have been also away from Mario Builder is because I have thought more and more about creating my own game systems from the beginning because although it takes more time I know at least I can remove the limits that I don't want to have by myself.

maybe he'll make a new version and have all the bugs fixed but I highly doubt that's going to happen

Yeah! With that I agree! He probably have stopped working on Mario Builder or stopped even working in making games totally. :/ Also Platform Builder that promised quite much have been removed even.
