Cleaning progress to the forums has been made!

Hello!
I am one of the administrators here. Maybe any of you has noticed that Mario Builder forums lose the number of registered members. This is because there were a lot of users who just spammed the space just by registering and not visiting the forums after that even for years now if at all. There were also a lot of not yet accepted members so as an administrator I felt too undisciplined …

Platform Builder forums

Dear members! I am not active with Mario Builder nor it's forums anymore although I still view some activity here sometimes. This is because of the need to choose some activities from all ones in ridiculously limited time. Good things are that I spend more time on something that has been created by the same creator as for Mario Builder. This is Platform Builder and it's own forum.

Clunky Controls, gamepad not supported?
The creator really needs to fix the controls. Sometimes the character won't stop going to the left or right. Is it possible to use a gamepad usb controller? It would make things so much easier for me. Will a future release enable this feature?

Re: Clunky Controls, gamepad not supported?
Mario Builder 11.4 is the last update the developer has made. earlier versions weren't designed for controllers, but the latest few had basic controller options.
I found it a bit frustrating and researched some options. I found a program called JoyToKey, that lets you customize controller settings. I play Mario Builder games with a USB SNES style controller, works just fine. I've also used an Xbox controller. The only issue with that was pressing the left joy toggle was the same as hitting the Esc key. It accidentally quit frequently when I was trying to make Mario fly. JoyToKey fixed that. Now my Select button is Esc.

If ting thing can get off his lazy ass and work on a new version that could be possible. Although there are ways that you can use a controller instead of a lousy keyboard. I use Joystick Mapper personally.

I messaged him on facebook a few months ago, he isn't going to do any more updates to Mario Builder. He's working on a different game engine.

So we can never hope to fix some of the worst things in level making history? Well, that sucks.
