Hello!
I am one of the administrators here. Maybe any of you has noticed that Mario Builder forums lose the number of registered members. This is because there were a lot of users who just spammed the space just by registering and not visiting the forums after that even for years now if at all. There were also a lot of not yet accepted members so as an administrator I felt too undisciplined …

Platform Builder forums

Dear members! I am not active with Mario Builder nor it's forums anymore although I still view some activity here sometimes. This is because of the need to choose some activities from all ones in ridiculously limited time. Good things are that I spend more time on something that has been created by the same creator as for Mario Builder. This is Platform Builder and it's own forum.

[SOLVED] Creating pipe warps and mini boss battles in stages.
I am trying to create a warp pipe (which I can already do) that goes to a bonus level with a mini boss. How can I create the bonus level and an exit pipe and keep it in the one level?

Re: [SOLVED] Creating pipe warps and mini boss battles in stages.
You need several courses. I you are able to mix the level with the world then you should get it how to mix the several courses for the one and the same level because mixing the courses can be done passing the same way.
You need to use a top of the pipe object with the arrows, continuation of the pipe object with arror targeted away from the "x" letter on red square and common continuation of the pipe objects until the pipe will end. The sequence of the mentioned objects must be so that Mario can enter to the pipe with one of directions which have been showed on top of the pipe object. Creating an object with red symbol will bring you a selection where you can select a course which should be appear after entering in the given pipe. This is a Level Manager actually where you also can create a new course, rename existing one or delete one of those course as many times as you wish before selecting one course which you want. After that you can define your own position(Spawn ID) and it may be what ever you want.
In selected course add a common top of pipe object if you want to allow Mario exit from the given pipe only or top of the pipe object with arrows if you want to allow Mario to also enter to the given pipe after exiting it. Add a continuation of pipe with arrows which have been targeted to the "x" letter and with the white arrow targeted to up or down on blue square if you used a common top of pipe object but if you used a top of the pipe object with the arrows then add also a continuation of the pipe object after that too. Then add a common continuation of the pipe until the given pipe ends. The sequence of this pipe should been so that a common top of the pipe object or top of the pipe object with the arrows would be there where white arrow of the continuation of the pipe object is targeting to. The continuation of the pipe with red symbol if you added it should be in different side of continuation of the pipe object with blue symbol and also common continuation of the pipes should be added like that.
The most important is that the positions of 2 mentioned pipes are the same because this is a linking where you define where to go and from where to come out.
And the "Simple" mode is a simpler way to create your own adventure. It will not allows Spawn ID's, the courses with your own definition name and so many as wiish. So use "Advanced" mode, always... It is not so much harder than "Simple" but actually is Mario Builder very simple and logical anyways. However, "Advanced" allows you much more!
I am Estonian actually, I must to recognize once again and to be honest I don't have so many time too to think how to write clear guidelines shortly or long. So let me know if you did not get a picture! I try to help with the screenshots then.

Hey man!
You explained yourself clear enough. I got a fair idea on what to do, but screenshots would also help because I am more of a visual learner. Thanks for also adding me as a friend on here. I appreciate it.

Re: [SOLVED] Creating pipe warps and mini boss battles in stages.
Yeah, I agree with you... I am also better in practise and learning with pictures and videos.
However, although I explained very long I tryied to save my time which I don't have so much actually because I also need a lot of time to plan my own guidelines and pictures about those.
I remember you and I try to make a clear pictures for you next time when I help you again.
And of course I added you as my friend because you mentioned that you are here to find also new friends... And why not I as your friend because description about you meets with my requirements. You seem to be friendly and very tolerant and you are also on your activity with your heart! It is pleasure to know that you appreciate me as your friend and that you confirmed us as friends.

Thanks alot for the help Aljul5. I will keep my eyes open for the pics. I am still waiting for the day I can get another desktop computer to fully dedicate to gaming projects. I started a project on my laptop and I will post some screenshots as soon as I can. Just having a rough time at the moment. Alot of personal stuff going in my life that I am trying to sort.

Just the same about me! A lot of personal stuff is going on in my life that I am trying to sort. Looks like people have often the same problem with their time. I still haven't called all my projects as cancelled yet even now although I quite often think that may-be I should to be more contented as a new person...

How to Link - An illustrated Mario Builder tutorial by Vikezor
You will need Advanced Mode for this.
1. Choose what kind of entrance you want. In this example we will use a warp pipe.
2. Click 'LINK' or press 'L' and click the entrance, in this case, the red part of the pipe. Then choose which level you want the exit to be in.
3. Now choose a Spawn ID. This can be anything, but make it something short and easy to remember. You can do this after you made the exit if you want to.
4. Now go to the level you want the exit to be in and create the exit if you haven't already. In this example we will use a warp pipe.
If you create a warp pipe, don't forget to choose the one with the arrow pointing towards the exit of the pipe!
5. Click 'LINK' or press 'L' and click the exit. Then enter the same spawn ID.
Now it's done!
