Hello!
I am one of the administrators here. Maybe any of you has noticed that Mario Builder forums lose the number of registered members. This is because there were a lot of users who just spammed the space just by registering and not visiting the forums after that even for years now if at all. There were also a lot of not yet accepted members so as an administrator I felt too undisciplined …

Platform Builder forums

Dear members! I am not active with Mario Builder nor it's forums anymore although I still view some activity here sometimes. This is because of the need to choose some activities from all ones in ridiculously limited time. Good things are that I spend more time on something that has been created by the same creator as for Mario Builder. This is Platform Builder and it's own forum.

How might one go about creating a texture pack for ordinary non-upload files such as Mario or water?
Hello there.
I've been thinking of making a very nice MB game, that requires different textures (looks, you know?) for certain tiles, such as Mario, Luigi, water and other things. The reason I couldn't just use upload files is because they wont be what I need them to be. Although I can use upload tiles for ordinary blocks and stuff...
So, how can I change the textures of certain tiles for my game?
Thanks!

Re: How might one go about creating a texture pack for ordinary non-upload files such as Mario or water?
I don't think it is possible.I'm with you I really wish it was but sadly it isn't. You can only use the upload files for the tiles I guess and you can make custom water like that as well and adding the "swim" block, but it won't be animated...
Maybe there is something I'm missing but I've been using Mario Builder for a while now and I don't think you can change the looks of Mario or any enemies or characters or stuff like that. Sorry...

I am pretty sure that every game with textures has a place for the textures... if I get to somehow find that, decompile it, then use that entire edited copy of MB containing my textures and the project...

I guess if you're good at that stuff then good luck,I don't think you might be able to find it but if you do make sure to post it on the forums so we know as well

Okay!
EDIT:
Perhaps I can actually ask someone who knows, like the developer!
(Lol, does that sound like an insult? I hope not... anyway, do you know where I can find him?)

I don't really think quoting is necessary if there are only 2 people talking,I only use quoting when I'm talking to one specific person in a topic or if I'm just replying to 1 part of a long post,it's just how I am...
