Cleaning progress to the forums has been made!

Tue Mar 14, 2023 7:38 am by Alju5

Hello!

I am one of the administrators here. Maybe any of you has noticed that Mario Builder forums lose the number of registered members. This is because there were a lot of users who just spammed the space just by registering and not visiting the forums after that even for years now if at all. There were also a lot of not yet accepted members so as an administrator I felt too undisciplined …

Platform Builder forums

Dear members! I am not active with Mario Builder nor it's forums anymore although I still view some activity here sometimes. This is because of the need to choose some activities from all ones in ridiculously limited time. Good things are that I spend more time on something that has been created by the same creator as for Mario Builder. This is Platform Builder and it's own forum.

Adventure Level Pack

Finally, finished after all these months, feels so good!

A Mario game in vein similar to my other two level packs, featuring 10 levels with varying themes. All the levels look below, but if you want a surprise, play the game without watching!

Levels

Conveyer Danger
This level is a certainly tricky level that can easily trick you up if you aren't paying attention to duck, and jump.
Video:

Ancient Ruins
This level was definitely inspired by Sonic Adventure's stage Lost World. You'll find plenty of Snake Blocks here, even some that loop in place.
Video:

Shell Slide
This level has very precise timing when rebounding off the walls using the shell power-up. Make sure to escape within the allotted time. The shell works quite well in water.
Video:

Bomb Airship
This level is on a fleet of airships, there are plenty of bombs, and fire.

Room Changer
A short level with a trick. Every time you go through the door it changes theme and layout. Grass, ice, water, than dessert this level will go through.

Blue Sky Journey
Fly on Blue Yoshi to this top of the tricky vertical level filled with airships. This level is gimmicky, but I haven't seen anyone else use Blue Yoshi in Mario Builder yet.

Greenery Plains
This level is a simple Super Mario Bros. like level, but the addition of the Super Leaf making hitting Brick Blocks a secondary goal to find secrets.

Pink Plains
A pink level that features jumping across the Cliffside. The enemies such as Flurry and Orange Koopa Troopa will rush at the player and careful precision is required.

Vegetable Hill
A level that was first feature in one of my unfinished games lurking somewhere around on this forum. This level received a new tileset, and some level design refinements, making this level which mixes elements of Super Mario Bros. 3, and Super Mario Bros. 2 together.

Challenge Castle
A difficult level that is an autoscrolling castle level. Using spin jumping is important and avoiding the enemies that show up frequently in this level.

Thanks! I have no time when it will be exactly done, but I can guarantee it will be within the year. For example last project, that was took 3 months because I slacked off I lot. Development is definitely on the way, and I will try to recorded, and upload frequently with updates.

I got the third level done, Shell Slide. I'm happy with the progress I'm making. This third level Shell Slide, required a lot of fine-tuning, to get it to work just right, and be fun. I'm surprised no one has really experimented with the shell in Mario Builder. Nintendo really never had a course for the Blue Shell power-up in New Super Mario Bros. DS. The shell is pretty good for flat levels, or levels specially made for it. The shell also has some pretty cool physicals in Mario Builder, such as rebounding off walls with a bounce, which really helps expand the level design with it.

The usage of shell power-up is really unique and I liked it. I can't wait for it. By the way try to change the jellyfish sprite so it have water behind it so it will look better. Anyway your levelpacks are amazing Very Happy.

Hey guys! I've been inactive for over a year with my projects, and I aim to see this one finished. Due to my laziness, and lack of motivation I have made little progress, but my hiatus I feel ready to work on this game again. Although progress may be slow, I will get this hacked finished. I'll upload some images of the world map. A demo of a level is coming soon! Very Happy

A single-level demo has been released! I still need to record some more footage of this game, and I'm feeling confident about finishing this game.

Ha, triple post I know right? Should be fair since it's been a couple months. Very Happy I've finally finished my third level pack and it's my best yet. My gimmicky levels once yet return, with zany new ideas, but try to be a bit more polished. In terms of favourite level, Vegetable Hill and Pink Plains battle it out for level theme, and design. I would like to thank Mario Builder and these forums as I wouldn't be able to find another easy to learn, simple program with customisation, and I wouldn't be able to find an audience for my games. I'd like to thank all the people who have downloaded my previous level packs as I have broke 100 downloads! I plan to make some more levels. Currently making the forums active is my main goal. I guess this is my Christmas present to the Mario Builder forums. Happy holidays, everyone! santa
